Valencia Homes

Valencia Bridgeport Lake

Valencia CA real estate was first put on the map by Newhall Land and Farming - the developer of the master planned community of Valencia in the mid 1960's. Valencia real estate is one of the first master planned communities in Southern California. The Old Orchard Homes were first built in 1967, and brought many young families to the Santa Clarita Valley. When we first moved to Valencia in 1970 there wasn't much here - lots of open space, onion fields, cattle grazing on the hills. Things have changed - however, the hills are still beautiful and there are more trees now than before! We have always appreciated the fact the there are so many greenbelt areas in Valencia, and the landscaping is so beautiful - you want to get out and walk!

Valencia has grown according to plan and today offers a variety of homes - from starter homes, condos and townhomes to the Taylor Woodrow homes in The Valencia Woodlands to custom Valencia Westridge Estate homes overlooking the Tournament Players Club and the beautiful rolling hills of Santa Clarita. Valencia even offers a few man-made lakes, such as found at the Lakeshore Condominiums and the fabulous Bridgeport Lake. The different Valencia villages evoke Cape Cod waterfront homes, Santa Barbara style homes, Tuscan villas, European style town houses, and the best that California living has to offer. There are many gated communities, hillside homes, view homes, pool homes, home with small yards and little maintenance, homes with spacious yards, active over-55 luxury communities - so many Valencia home choices! Almost all of the Valencia neighborhoods have their own private community center with a pool, spa, and other amenities. Schools, shopping, and restaurants are always near by.

Some people think that Valencia is a city. No - it is a community that is located partly within the city of Santa Clarita and partly outside of the city. Valencia is a beautiful community with over 28 miles of paseo systems which are the landscaped walkways that unite the various Valencia villages with each other, and to the schools and shopping areas. Valencia continues to offer popular new home tracts, the most recent are the communities of Westridge, Creekside, and Alta Vista. The newest communities are West Creek, West Hills; upcoming is RiverVillage, and the long awaited Newhall Ranch. Valencia CA real estate has always been desireable, and with the future development, the tradition will continue.
